We usually screen anime from our library’s Crunchyroll Premium account, but are looking for anime-loving teens around New York City to come and make this safe meeting space their own to celebrate their otaku fandom! We’d love help to grow this library program!

The Cornell Anime Club (formerly known as the Cornell Japanese Animation Society, CJAS), is an independent student organization at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. It was established in the spring of 1988 by Masaki Takai (’91) and Kay Lillibridge (’92), making us one of the oldest anime clubs in the nation. Our goal is to bring together as many Cornell anime fans as possible, from the hardcore cosplayer to the casual fan looking to find some more interesting shows. To bring everyone together and foster a sense of community, we feature weekly anime showings, as well as other fun events, such as J-Pop karaoke, anime jeopardy, and our annual Halloween Cosplay event. We also allow non-Cornellians to join our Discord, but you must be a rising college freshman, current college student, or alumni. Check out our website for more information!
