NCC’s Anime Culture Club is a place for anyone interested in otaku culture to discuss and watch anime. We have cosplayers and students interested in cosplay, which we hope to implement in our weekly meetings. This year, we’re mainly focused on planning con trips as well as on-campus parties. We also hope to take trips to the nearby Round1 and to Mitsuwa Marketplace in Arlington Heights.

Our club is a non-committal, casual hang out club that allows those with a similar interest in Anime, Manga, or similar to meet up and get away from the stress of life. We don’t require you come to every meeting, know a certain amount of anime, or be up-to-date on such topics, the club is here for when you want to hang out or have some fun!
Every meeting we go over some news inside and outside of the club (Events, Anime News, etc.), have a weekly activity that gets people to socialize a bit and have some fun, as well as show a member submitted anime recommendation that we watch towards the end of club.
Our activities range from things such as Jeopardy, Anime Charades, and even Anime-Related Debates! We do also hang out and chill a good bit towards the end and after club, further giving people a chance to take a load off.
The Students in Appreciation of Animation (or SAA for short) is an all around animation appreciation club. Our members have a variety of activities they participate in, such as playing video games, cosplaying, watching anime (both sub and dub) and cartoons, discusiing manga and comics, listening to jpop and kpop as well as making dance covers, and so much more, Since our meetings were online last school year we haven’t been able to meet in person as much. However, we are all looking forward to seeing each other in-person during the coming school year.
